There’s an onion in my belly!

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season with your friends and family! We sure did! So much to be thankful for this year and we are loving every step of this experience. Probably because I never got sick. lol

Thought I would share some pictures with you all!
This one is the reason for the post title- The baby is the size of an onion this week! You would have thought they could have come up with a cuter fruit/veggie to compare a baby to right? lol Well here it is, my week 17 BUMP!

All of a sudden I feel like I have a huge belly! lol I can’t bend forward very well and notice that turning over at night is a difficult task. I can only imagine when things get bigger! aahhhh!
I bought this cool pillow to help me be more comfortable while I sleep-

It has so many ways to use it! Even seems like I will get use out of it when the baby comes along.
Speaking of baby….. we had the most amazing ultrasound experience last week! Almost a full hour of being able to see the baby! They measured, counted, and even checked my organs! We had no idea we would see so much! Last time we got to take a peek the baby was only 7.5 weeks and we just saw a little burry spot on the screen and the heartbeat.

So here HE/SHE is….
(great profile view!

…maybe more SHE than HE?? Since 2 technicians said GIRL!!

We will know for sure in less than 2 weeks so for now we are still waiting to shop for pink items! lol
I feel so lucky to have felt good so far. Besides the daily excitement I honestly forget that I am pregnant most days! I can not wait to start feeling the baby move! We know he/she is active due to all of the flips, kicks, and karate chops that we saw on the ultrasound screen! ha! It was so cute to watch! I know both Sean and I will enjoy feeling the movements, making it feel so much more real. I keep saying how weird it is that I have a tiny little human growing inside me. Smile

As soon as we know for sure what we are having I plan on going shopping for some goodies. I would love to hear from any Mom’s out there as to what you would recommend as far as must haves. I am seriously clueless as far as strollers, car seats, and even breast pumps. I would appreciate any tips you may have for me. Smile

EATS have been strange still over here. We spent $100 at costco today and the basket had only fruit & ground turkey in it. FRUIT is my friend! I love it! I can’t get enough of it! Also loving Fage yogurt ( with fruit mixed it!)  I am struggling with raw veggies in salads (can we say indigestion!) so I am trying to get in my fill by cooking them. I mentioned meal planning is hard and it still is….I never know what I will feel like so I kinda need to play it by ear most nights and have a few easy meals ready to cook.

I heard from a couple of people who attend my Weight Watchers meeting and also from my leader. I was happy that they saw my blog post! I know I was late on telling everyone about our news and I know that everyone must have been wondering where I was hiding out. All is well….and I will be re-joining WW as soon as I can!  Smile

Happy New Year everyone!
Smile Bye! Pin It

  2. It's so much fun watching you go through your first. :) I'm convinced I'm having a girl. We have to pay out of pocket for an ultrasound (well, we have to pay for everything, lol), but I'm totally having one because I'm such a planner.

  5. Just in case you hadn't heard, Obamacare is requiring insurance to cover the cost of breast pumps, so you will want to look into that before buying one (they are kind of expensive!) :)

  12. I am so excited for you guys, and am glad that you are feeling good.

I actually LOST weight with my daughter because I stopped eating shitty food. I craved stir fry and hated red meat.

My now almost 21 daughter loves stir fry and hates red meat - she blames the meat on me because I didn't introduce her to it in the womb!
