Kraut & Pierogies!

Hey guys! a couple of weeks ago when I needed an EASY recipe I decided to copy a dinner idea that Suzi had mentioned either on Facebook or Twitter.

I just saw the picture of her dinner plate and knew I would love it! I already had a box of the potato & cheddar pierogies in my freezer! how convenient!

A NEW recipe was born!

How to make pierogies at home

Kraut & Pierogies!

makes 1 serving

9PP (3 pierogies=5PP, or 6 for 9PP)

1 Cup sauerkraut (0 PP)

1/4 of a large onion-diced

PAM

-Mustard for topping

Spray medium sized skillet with PAM and toss in the diced onions. Cook until starting to brown & remove from skillet. In same skillet- spray a lil more PAM & add in frozen pierogies over medium heat. Cook about 4 min on each side. Add the onions & the sauerkraut to the skillet to heat up- just a few minutes. Serve topped with a squeeze of mustard.

I gotta say I could eat this meal once a week and be happy. lol I loved it.

So today I drove over to the pool & had a great workout!

On my way back I snapped a pic of my favorite cows!

I did walk by and breathe in deeply. hehe

Going to POSSIBLY grab dinner out with Sean tonight. I can’t really make SET plans, just depends on how I am feeling. Stinks, but that’s how it is!

Or as my Dad likes to say….

I love those perogies so easy and quick to make. My family likes them with marinara sauce and cheese.

Sorry you are having tummy troubles again. I hope they can get to the bottom of it this time around. Hang in there!

Congrats on the weight loss. :)

  3. Hi TJ. So sorry to hear you are still not feeling well. I really hope they can get to the bottom of things and you are back to 100% soon. SOOOO envious of fresh, local strawberries, we're a few months away from that here in Vancouver. Have a great weekend.

  5. Staci beat me to it, but yes - those are Oreo cows! I've only seen them in person once - on a trip to Maine - and didn't take a picture and now no one believes me! Very cool you get to see them all the time. :)

  8. I call those Oreo cows too! We drive by some all the time too. Their official breed of cow is the Belted Galloway. Pretty cool though, hey! And mmm, perogies rock! I usually mix some Frank's Red Hot Sauce with some sour cream for dipping!
