Great Weekend!

Hi Guys! I really appreciated all of your support. This blog for me is a huge help to me! Everyone understands, you guys GET IT! :) I did end up going to Weight Watcher's on Friday and faced my trackless week. I was up 2 pounds. I moved on, hit re-start and had a great weekend! :)

I had some taco lentils frozen in lil baggies so I had a Mexican feast on Friday! OLE!
 I also put together our new barstools :)
 Had a couple of salads over the past few days- New dressing find! It was good, not as sweet- kinda  vinegary YUM! :)
 Nice stats!
 Lunch out on Sunday with Sean and I guessed for all of the points while we were out. We went to Olive Garden. First off,I think it's been 9 years since we have been there! Seriously! lol SO then I noticed that right on the menu they list the calories so it was EASY to pick my poison. But we both wanted the SECRET (off menu??) Soup, salad, and ENDLESS for some (but agreed that I would get ONE) breadstick deal. Why is this NOT on the menu?? lol I asked about if they still had that offer and on a Sunday and I thought I might be directed to the back room to met up with the Godfather in order to get this deal. lol

What is not a secret about it is how great of a Weight Watcher choice it is. Did ya know? I estimated while we were eating it and gave myself 5/5/5 Soup, salad, & breadstick. Coming home I see I over estimated BUT I did get the dressing on the side and only used a small amount of it. When I looked up points- they do not list the protein, so kinda estimated again but I think 10 PointsPlus would cover my lunch that I ate. Sorry I didn't take pics! :(

Dinner was NACHO NIGHT! Thank you Sean for putting up with my weighing and measuring and helping me calculate! :)  13 points of turkey nachos!

3 ounces lean turkey meat-seasoned with taco seasoning
1/3 C WW mexican blend shredded cheese

I have housework to do today. Actually every day I have some in order to keep up with this house. I swear I need to wear my Polar HRM to prove that cleaning really is a workout! Who's with me? lol

Bump in the road

So I had a hard time last night. I came home from saying good bye to my brother who was visiting us for a few days and I sat down and grabbed a bag of whole wheat pita chips. I bought them ONLY because I had my family over and put out some goodies. I had a handful in a bowl but then I kept going back. :(

I wasted a whole week not tracking. I think I ate mindfully for the most part but all went out the door with the pita chips last night. I cried. I told Sean when he came home what I did. I felt ashamed as I told my biggest cheerleader that I got up finally and dumped the bag in the garbage making sure that all of the pieces of pita went way down deep in the trash.

I know it was just a small bump in the road along my journey but I HATE the feeling like I lost control. I have been there, done that and I never want to go back. I thought for a while if it was a binge and I seriously don't think so. My former binges were planned out. I used to plan all of the food out in my mind and then go make my take out purchases and line all of the food up to savor. This was different mentally for me and I know I am strong enough to move on from this.

So today was supposed to be my first weigh in at my new Friday meeting day/ time. The meeting is about 10 minutes from my house and seems like a lot of people participate in the group and it's a good mix of people. Honestly between the crappy weather and the week I had I just do not feel like going. I know I will see a gain. Not that I haven't seen them before but I feel guilty about not tracking for the entire week. My mind is not set on skipping it yet, but I'm just not sure I want to go.

So that is my confession today. lol I really have been doing well through all of the busy stuff I've been doing lately and I have been proud of myself! But I just wanted to be honest with everyone that I do struggle, I do need support, and I'm not ashamed to admit my failures. Once you lose weight you are not CURED of any problems or issues you have with food. My choices along my journey now are much better. I am in this battle to win it!

Tracking this week will be KEY for me! I plan on rocking the PointsPlus plan like no one's business! lol Anyone else need to hit the RE-START button with me? Come on we can do it together!!

Hi!

I can not believe how long it's been since I last blogged. I feel bad but I'm sure all of you can understand how much work FUN a new home can be :)

I went to my old Weight Watchers meeting on Tuesday (I was up .4) and I must say that I don't see myself wanting to make the drive over unless I had something else to do in that area :( Which makes me sad and also now I gotta find another meeting. I didn't care for the meeting a town away that I tried a couple of weeks ago so now I gotta switch days and for me changing my routine is hard.

Speaking of routine....my POOL schedule has been all messed up too. Again it's 30 min away and I don't want to drive over to JUST go to the pool. I NEED to make a plan and I need to do it soon for my own sanity!!! lol I am such a creature of habit and kinda freak out when change happens with SOME things. lol

So for dinners I have been going straight to my recipe link section on THIS BLOG! I needed some old favorites- Stuffed Peppers, Butternut Squash Flatbread, Peppers & Eggs, & Fake Chinese Night were all enjoyed recently. These are all easy and that is what I needed the past couple of weeks. :) YUM!

I took pics of a few meals to keep myself honest, hey it works for me! :)

 a lil salad for lunch, ok it wasn't so little, but it was delicious!
 Tube steak night. lol Fat Free ONE POINTSPLUS hot dog! whoohoo
 I thought this was a cool map in a magazine we got. Down on the lower right side is the new city we moved to and then it shows you the next town above us, Napa and all of the cool places to visit there. :) We need to go out & explore!
 Breakfast! 1 egg +1 egg white, light mayo egg salad open face sandwich w/ 2 cuties!
 The cookbooks finally made it into the house! I put them on my old bookcase (that is too small for them) until we get a bookcase built. :)
 Last night I wanted to make a treat for Sean so I looked at the list I have of angel food cake ideas and saw this version that I had not tried before.
 1 Box cake mix
1/2 C unsweetened cocoa
1 1/3 C strong coffee
Mix all, bake at 350 for 40 min in an angel cake pan.

TADA! It was good, however it would have been better with some cool whip, whipped cream OR a dollop of pudding on top of it. :)

Today I am off to run some errands! I am doing my very best to be a TRACKMASTER this week even tho I am super busy! What ONE thing are you committed to doing this week?

NEW RECIPE!!!

Question for ya:


What do you think are the worst foods that you eat? 

When the PointsPlus plan came out Sean helped me go through the pantry and fridge and re-calculate and some of the packaged foods I eliminated, but some I can not part with. I try my best to stay away from processed foods. Mostly due to the fact that the more I eat the more I crave! I have no control with those lil 100 calorie packs! lol So the thought to share my BAD foods with you came to me and I want you to share what you eat that you can not part ways with. :)

Boxed food #1 Ok so as you can see these really aren't BAD foods as far as PointsPlus values go. These veggie sausage patties are only 2 PointsPlus and they are packed with protein that keeps my breakfast sandwich with me all AM! I really love them and have no plans on eliminating them anytime soon. :-)



This is packaged food #2 and first off let me say that I would never crave this cheese right out of the fridge. I only use it to melt over stuff. Eggs & my breakfast sandwich are really the only ways I use it. I know it's not the best, but I luv it. lol
 So please share with me what you can not live without but think (or know) is not the best for you.


Wanna see my QUICK lunch yesterday? This is a Trader Joe's Veggie Masala Burger patty, cucumber yogurt that Sean's Mom showed me how to make, avocado, tomato, & carrots.

BREAKING NEWS!!

For dinner I have a NEW RECIPE for you! Right out of my NEW TEST KITCHEN! :) Whoohoooo!
First I need to give Sean some credit here. He asked for a steak salad and then I added all of the ingredients, but he gets IDEA CREDIT. :)

Rainbow Steak Salad




 Here are the ingredients for ONE salad-

3 ounces grilled london broil, sliced thin
2 cups romaine lettuce
1/4 C shredded red cabbage
1/4 C shredded carrots
1/4 C corn
2 stalks green onion, chopped fine
2 Tablespoons roasted red pepper, cut into thin strips
1 Tablespoon crumbled blue cheese
1/4 avocado, diced
-Dressing of your choice. We used Yogurt Blue Cheese Dressing, it was delicious!

Without the dressing: PointsPlus value 8


 Can you see why I named it RAINBOW Steak Salad?

Do ya like TART frozen yogurt? I like it with fruit!!
DESSERT!

I get this from Trader Joe's- good stats! 1/2 C for 2 PointsPlus!


 I added sliced strawberries and fresh pineapple for a BIG 2 PointsPlus bowl of yumminess!

The past few days I have been doing a lil yard work. The former homeowners left a whole lotta pots behind and some of them were garbage, but some of them just needed a little love. My Mom helped me and we went to get some new plants and take care of the ones left behind. Here is a little peek at the front patio area that made it a little more cheery out there. :)

So that's it for me! I am going to weigh today. I decided to just go over to a local Weight Watcher center close by. I'm bloated, puffy, and crampy so I'm not looking forward to the GAIN I know I will see and I think staying close today will be a good idea because I'm so tired....moody, grumpy, grouchy...lol you get the idea right? :-)

FRIDAY!

Hi Everyone! I thought I would share some of my meals with you from this past week! I cooked a few EASY meals but all were DELICIOUS and point friendly to help me have a great week!

 How come I've waited so long to try this hummus? WOW!
 salad w/ my fave blue cheese dressing, bell peppers, carrots, & hummus.
 Cauliflower Soup, BLT night!
 Breakfast taco- 1 point tortilla, 2 egg whites, light cheese, hot sauce, & spinach.
 Ham & pineapple sandwich. Don't knock it till ya try it! :)
 Gardenia Mix (pickled veggies)
One of my favorites! Tami's Melt in your mouth Italian sausages! 
 Fruit salad! Yum yum
 My breakfast sandwich, "Tj's Special" :)

So these are all great EATS and even though they didn't take long to prepare they were all FAST, EASY, & DELICIOUS! Oh and ON PLAN! YES, even the BLT! lol If you haven't tried it already- Trader Joe's Peppered Turkey Bacon= LOVE! 2=2, 4=4 PointsPlus! LOVE IT! Man I love Weight Watchers! :) 

Ok you saw my WEIRD sandwich up there right? Ham, light mayo, & pineapple. :-/ Do you have a combo that might seem a little strange, but you love it?? Tell me all about it!!

If you have not already gone to check out that Italian sausage recipe go now! Hurry, get out the crock pot too! It's a great meal! :) 

Ohh and thank you all for the nice comments on our new home! :) It is feeling more real to us and we are super happy!
