Last night for dinner I had taken out a frozen container of a recipe that I made up a while back-Mexican Bake. I used some taco seasoning that I found at the health food store and I disliked the flavor of it but when I took it out yesterday for dinner I totally forgot how nasty it was. I tossed it and took out one of the burritos that I give Sean for lunch. I know I have talked about these before, way back when, but they really are good. Amy's Kitchen is a great web site and they sell their frozen and canned food items all over. They happen to be a local family company that is more well knows here in Northern California, but I know they have food items all over. They are a very nice family, and I had the pleasure of meeting Amy and her Father at an office I used to work at. Anyway, back to the yummy burritos! I buy these at Costco- and each time I go I pray that they still carry them. They are suck a great deal there! You get 8 burritos for $9.99 when the local stores sell them for $3.49 each! YIKES! So check around for them at Cotsco or Sam's Club or look for a sale to try these out!
I added a salad to my dinner too.
I already got dinner all set for tonight. Sean's Parents, his Aunt who is visiting from Paris, and his Uncle are coming tonight to visit. I will share dinner with you all another time. I promise to take pictures and share the recipe. :) It smells so good in here, I can't wait to enjoy dinner later!
Hope all of you have a GREAT day! :) BYE!
That junkyard salad has me intrigued....
ReplyDelete*high fives* to big carrots :D
ReplyDeletepeople seem to be changing colours this week... we already have a smurfette in our midst!
I love big carrots too...they are usually sweeter:) I am going to have to check our Costco to see if they carry those burrito's. Kevin loves burrito's.
ReplyDeleteOur Costco doesn't carry these :(
ReplyDeleteThat's Canada for you.
I think the tiny carrots are way too sweet. I like the bigger ones better too and they're much cheaper so that's a plus as well.
Hope your dinner goes well!
Could you please put smell-o-vision on your blog?
Hope you are having fun with Sean's family! Those Amy's product are pretty good! Take pics of your food tonight!
ReplyDeleteThere's something about baby carrots I do not like. It's like there slimy or something. IDK??? I am all for big carrots too!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about your dinner. Ooo la la. There's a little French for ya.
If it makes you feel better, I eat pickles in my salad and people look at me like I am weird :)
ReplyDeleteim a lazy ass and just buy the bags of carrot batons so that i can just grab them rather than getting orange hands..... i wonder how many calories you burn chopping them lol
ReplyDeleteWill have to check if BJ's carries these - I hope. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteRe: taco seasoning. I stopped buying pre-packaged taco seasoning when I discovered this recipe: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Taco-Seasoning-I/Detail.aspx
ReplyDeleteIt is very good, has a fraction of the sodium and costs pennies.
that salad looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love Amy's stuff. Wave hi for me.
ReplyDeleteBurritos look delish, but my gosh, I do not at all find that salad appealing! Hearts of palm do not float my boat!
ReplyDeleteLoved your guest post, by the way!
Although I like raw baby carrots, I prefer the big ones (sliced) when it comes to cooked carrots. They taste better.
ReplyDeleteNeat that you met Amy!
I love the carrot sticks instead of cheetos. It's like you were determined to get in something orange no matter what! lol
