We went to a few stores to do some shopping but the heat got to us and we came home. This morning when I spoke to my Mom we decided to make BIG salads for dinner. We call these Elaine salads- from Seinfeld, yeah ok- so we talked about all of the salad stuff we both had and I brought all of my produce over to her house and we made Elaine salads. Nice on a hot day- no cooking involved! This is mine:
I also had a weight watchers giant latte bar for dessert. My Mom bought them for me and I left them at her house mostly cuz I have a really small freezer and mine is PACKED but also so I can have a treat over there when I visit. :) Tomorrow Sean and I pick up my Aunt! Im super excited and looking forward to a fun week! I go back to the airport on Tuesday to get my brother too! I should start an airport shuttle service business! Haha :) Ok off to make some popcorn and see what I can find to watch on TV! Hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend! BYE!
Me + HOT + HUMID = ick ... especially under the boobage. double ick.
ReplyDeletegive me low 70's and I'm a happy non-camper
re: ground turkey, s & p, Mrs Dash chipotle spice + served with heated up salsa. nothing else.
It is so hot in Texas, I think I saw the devil. That's my fav. Chili's dish too. Your big salad looks delish. Enjoy your time with your family.
ReplyDeletei was like that yesterday, text my hubby and said "im the hot one under the tree|" but i meant hot hot, not hawwwt hot lol
ReplyDeleteEurgh. TOO MUCH broccoli. lol
ReplyDeletethat looks like a busy salad, missus!
So far so good on the weekend :D
Yeah it is hot. But to be truthful, I can handle the heat better then the cold! Good thing our Texas winters are not like they have up North. I wouldn't survive!
ReplyDeleteOH! I have a question about your sammie ~ simply because I am looking for something to eat when I go to Chili's. Is that chicken breaded? If not, do they have it marinated in anything? Trying to avoid all sugars!
ReplyDeleteHaha cute cartoon at the end!
ReplyDeleteIs it at least sunny out in the heat? Here in CT it's been raining about every day for the last 3 weeks. We finally had some sun yesterday!
Mrs. Sheila- no- the chicken is not breaded. It does have some sort of flavor to it- like it was marinated but its not dripping with any sauce. Tastes great!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you are familiar with Chili's but they also have a great guiltless chicken platter with rice, corn, plus that steamed broccoli.
They are one of the few places that actually have a section of the menu that I dont have to change a billion things on or make my own meal up. lol
Karen- yeah its super sunny- so strong I cant stay out for long or my white virgin skin gets RED! lol
Mochatrina- lol@ your HOT visions! haha
I'm so glad we've escaped that dry Northern Cali heat! My MIL said that their A/C won't even cool off the house because it's so hot!
ReplyDeleteVeggies...gag me.
ReplyDeleteLove that cartoon! I've got that in a folder of funnies I keep!
Ok...I will stop complaining about 80 degree weather...LOL...I don't think I could handle 106 degrees even with air conditioning! UGH! They are threatening thunderstorms all this week here! Haven't seen one yet...I will believe it when I see it!
ReplyDeletelol @the "Elaine" salads, I love Seinfeld. Do you watch Curb Your Enthusiasm?
