Breakfast POM Smoothy

The heat has me feeling a lil like skipping breakfast today - which if you know me is UNHEARD of! lol So I took out the blender and decided to put that POM to good use.

1- 8 ounce bottle of POM- 100% Pomegranate juice
1/4 cup fresh blueberries (that was all I had left in my container- you could use more if you have them)
1/2 frozen banana
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 teaspoon Macro Greens- superfood supplement
1 1/2 cups fresh spinach

This is SO yummy! Im sipping it now as I type and it is a little tart from the juice (I usually use almond breeze or soy milk) so it is a nice change from my usual smoothy. Perfect way to beat the heat and drink my breakfast this morning! :) Pin It

  1. What kind of protein powder do you use? I was at the health food store looking for something to give me energy and the sales clerk recommended so kind of Greens pack. I don't think it was macro greens though.

  2. Quit sucking up to the POM people. They're not going to send you any more free juice. Geez!

  5. Your smoothie sounds good, but I'll have to take your word for it about its deliciousness, since I am perhaps the only blogger in the universe who wasn't offered a sample by POM (and since I'm not going to go buy any because of that--yes, that's me being petty)!

  6. I drink a pro shake for breakfast almost every morning using the almond milk. I love them!!!
I did not schill for POM (I think the offer was different for Canadian residents anyway)
    lol @ J for giving you sh*t 2x in a row now.
Are you REALLY liking it? Would you keep it up after the juice runs out?
I love the cranberry dribbles on top of your shake.
It looks very delish & so colourful in that cup.

  10. This looks so cool and refreshing - hope it tasted the same. How you have been holding up in this heat amazes me and I hope you get a respite soon.

  11. I'm gonna have to break down and start doing shakes cuz this looks (and sounds) yummy. I'm with MochaTrina -- where do you get the protein powder? Hopefully this heat dissipates soon. I actually feel for those of you closer to the Bay as we're definitely more used to it over here in the valley.
